good friday

every good friday reminds me of my friend Captain Harkamal Singh who thought that just as any other festival holiday this was also one where one wished each other.accordingly one good friday in the year of the Lord 88, he very innocently went early to the residence of his second-in-command a christian officer to be the first to wish him A very Happy Good Friday. imagine his feelings and surprise when instead of the courterous thank you all he got was a curt nod and a quiet dissmissal. so much for all who want to play good samaritans!! incidentally the officer is today a very successful banker in a private bank in Pune. God Bless him that he provides some laughter on each Good Friday that arrives.
